Catherine’s joy is to Practice the Presence (the title of two fabulous books, she
reminds us). Her mantra, well . . . two that work for her are: “I am the presence
of God here” and “I trust the process.” She became a practitioner in 2005 and is
currently a minister-in-training, enrolled at the Holmes Institute.
Catherine can be seen all around Seaside and is often in service on Sunday and
Wednesday night. She enjoys teaching the principles of the Science of Mind and has
facilitated both formal classes as well as sacred circles and run a business ministry,
Thank God It’s Monday, for some time. She is becoming known as the practitioner who
tells stories. She believes the art of storytelling can be used not only for teaching
and preaching but also for sharing quality time and showing people that you care.
Her practitioner practice tends to draw people primarily in need of support in the
areas of business/work, finances, and relationship, and almost always incorporates
experientials into a session. She will tell you that it is her absolute honor to
serve as a Seaside practitioner, bearing witness to the revelation of truth that
brings about great healing. In her mind, there is nothing more sacred than holding
that high watch, supporting others in prayer, and seeing beyond the “stuff” we create
to keep us separate from Spirit.
When she’s not in school or in service at Seaside, Catherine works as a sales
representative for a large corporation and anticipates moving into corporate
chaplaincy at some point. She is a mom, and many at Seaside know her beautiful
daughter, the teenager who went to Malawi, who grew up here and is now away at
college. In addition to growing in relationship with the divine, her passions
are scuba diving, stand-up, the arts, music, and red wine. |
